What is GoHighlevel/Highlevel?
GoHighlevel, or just Highlevel as its users call it, is an all-in-one sales and marketing platform for marketing agencies and small businesses. The GoHighlevel platform offers every tool needed to run a business successfully at a fixed monthly cost. The GoHighlevel platform allows you to Whitelabel their software so agencies can use this platform and brand it like it was their own. This allows agencies to create a Software as a Service (SaaS) business and an additional monthly recurring revenue stream.
Typically agencies would perform a job for their client like building a website or running Facebook ads only to have the job end or the client cancel their service. Now, agencies have to continue to market to find another client. Now with GoHighlevel, you can migrate your clients off whatever CRM, email marketing tool, phone system, or funnel software they may be using and run their business entirely off the GoHighlevel platform. The best thing about this is that your clients pay you monthly for these services. You can charge $297, $497, or whatever you want to charge for these services and your client continues to pay for these each month like a utility creating a stable recurring monthly revenue.
GoHighlevel sets no limits for its users on any paid plan so you can have unlimited contacts, websites, funnels, email or text templates, and workflows. There are also no limits for storage so you can host as many videos, files, documents, or images as you or your clients may have.

What is a CRM?
Customer relationship management (CRM) is a technology that helps companies manage their interactions with customers and potential customers. The goal of CRM is simple: to improve business relationships and grow the company. A CRM system allows companies to stay connected with their customers, streamline processes, and increase profits.
Choosing the right CRM
There are thousands of CRM software today, so how do you know which one to choose? It can be overwhelming for a business owner to research many choices and decide.
When looking for a CRM, ask yourself the following three questions before deciding.
Is the CRM software reasonably priced?
As a business, you expect to have monthly expenses to run your business. Your CRM software should not cost you a small monthly fortune.
Is the CRM software Intuitive to use?
If the CRM software is hard to use or complicated, then it will not be adopted by you or your team. It has to be easy to use.
Does the CRM software have all the features you need?
If the CRM software does not have all the features you need, you are forced to look for another software to work with the CRM, and that’s when your business starts to get complicated. Now you find yourself using multiple tools and trying to get them to work together, so your business runs smoothly. You need CRM software that can do it all.
To get started finding CRM software, you can go to Google and search for “Best CRM software” or “CRM software for business,” but I will tell you now, you will have pages and pages of articles to look at, and after hours of research, your brain will go numb.
To save you time, I am introducing you to my favorite CRM software HighLevel. I have been using it in my business for over a year and love it. It gets a YES for every question above.
What is Highlevel CRM software?
Highlevel is an all in one marketing and sales platform built for marketing agencies and small businesses. It was created in 2018 and has become one of the best business CRM software platforms. This one platform is such a powerful tool. It includes such cool features as an email builder, campaign builder, lead generation, reputation management, artificial intelligence, funnel builder, landing page builder, sales funnels, workflow builder, form builder, calendars to schedule appointments, website builder, voicemail drops, create courses, two-way communication with contacts, and also offers white label which allows you to resell the software to your customers. If you are interested in a complete feature list of Highlevel, you can review my blog post GoHighlevel Review.
Using an all in one marketing platform like Highlevel with all its features, you can see why internet marketers and marketing agencies choose Highlevel. They are getting more sales leads, leading to more customers, all with a fixed monthly price. You can review my blog post GoHighlevel Pricing, to see all the pricing plans available.
I want to answer the three questions above regarding Highlevel CRM software and see if it will fit your business well.
What is the Cost of Highlevel CRM software?
Highlevel currently offers three pricing plans. I will review two of the most common plans below. Still, if you are interested in getting details for all of them, you can review my other post GoHighlevel Pricing Plans, which covers the plans more in-depth and other options available with Highlevel.
The most widely used Highlevel plans are the $97 and $297 monthly.
The $97 plan will work great for you as a single-location business. If you have multiple locations or run a marketing agency, I suggest the $297 plan, which offers unlimited sub-accounts.
Any plan you choose with Highlevel, you get all the software’s features. If you want to review all the features that Highlevel has on top of being a great CRM, you can review my post GoHighlevel Review.
Is Highlevel easy to use?
The Highlevel software was designed to be easy to navigate and intuitive. The menus and toolbars make it easy to navigate and understand. When you first log in to your account, you are presented with a menu to quickly navigate to the area of Highlevel you want to work in. There is a search bar to allow you to find whatever you are looking for.
The Contacts area is where Highlevel keeps its CRM. Most people use the word contacts on their smartphones, so you intuitively know where to find your customers.
Once in the contacts screen, you are given a view that looks like this.
You can select one or multiple contacts by checking the box next to their name and use the toolbar to perform any action. You can customize which column you want to view by default, search for any word a contact record may have, and apply whatever filters you need to pull the data you are specifically interested in.
Once you click on a contact, you get access to all the data about that contact, including every communication with that client from text, email, Facebook messenger, or even Google my Business messages. All phone calls and voicemails are also available in the conversations of the contact record.
You can quickly view any activity, tasks, Notes, or appointments the contact has ever had.
A great feature of Highlevel CRM is extending the CRM to include custom fields specific to your business. For example, by default, Highlevel does not have a field to store the anniversary date for a contact record. You can add an unlimited number of additional fields to every contact for no additional costs. Here you can see the anniversary date added to the contact record.
Does Highlevel have the features I need?
Any CRM system today should have the following features. Let me show you how the GoHighlevel CRM includes these features in its marketing platform.
Highlevel has a simple yet powerful interface for its CRM. The navigation is intuitive and easy to understand. Here is a picture of the CRM interface.
This feature has previously been discussed in the ease of using the section above.
Not all records in your CRM will be customers. Highlevel stores everyone your business communicates within its CRM. So as your business gets leads from calls or website visitors, these contact records also get stored. Highlevel has a feature called tags. So as contacts are created, you can tag them as a lead or customer making it easier to filter these contact records. You can add an unlimited number of tags to a contact record.
Tags are widely used in Highlevel, but you must create all the tags you want to use initially. The Highlevel platform also utilizes Pipelines as a method to manage your leads. More of this is last in the Pipelines section. This is what the “lead” tags look like in their contact record.
Once a lead comes into Highlevel CRM, you can use the workflow feature to determine how you want to follow up with that lead.
Report and Dashboard
Highlevel offers a rich featured dashboard that provides all information about your leads, sales funnels, and pipelines at a glance. Easily switch between your funnel and pipeline performance using the dropdown on the dashboard.
Switch to the reporting area where you can instantly break down your ads performance and statistics.
The Highlevel platform is a mobile-friendly website. To make it more convenient for its customers, they provide a mobile app to interact with customers, view or schedule appointments and view sales data. The app is called Lead Connector and can be found in iPhone and Google app stores.
The key to turning leads into customers is follow-up. Your CRM has to be able to automate the follow-up process, and Highlevel does not disappoint. The platform can build campaigns around your sales lead follow-up process. You can create email and text templates to reuse with your leads and use the workflow feature to structure your business logic into an executable format.
Once you create your templates and workflows, the system will respond to all incoming leads, allowing you to focus on growing your business.
Email & Text Integration
CRM software today has to have the ability to communicate with customers in multiple ways. Highlevel CRM has “Conversations” in each contact record that shows your business’s communication with the customer. An SMS and email function at the bottom of that area allows real-time communications with a customer. This feature is also available in the mobile app as well.
Highlevel allows you to create email and text templates to easily reuse the same marketing information with all your leads and customers.
A workflow visually represents your business logic and sales process procedure. Highlevel workflows are a powerful feature allowing businesses unlimited automation to achieve their sales process. There are many ways you can trigger or start a workflow and many elements you can use to define logic within a workflow.
Here are some of the elements available to you in a workflow.
These elements are structured to gather to create a visual plan that Highlevel will use to execute any sales or follow-up process. Here is an example of a sales order process workflow.
If you are a business that gets leads regarding your product or service, you should use a pipeline to track your sales process. Highlevel offers you the ability to create an unlimited number of pipelines to track any sales process. You need to create a pipeline and define the stages your leads will go through, and then you can create workflows around those leads to ensure your team follows up with each lead and stays focused on your leads, not the tech.
Once your pipeline has been created, you can have your leads flow into the pipeline to see your sales process.
Integrations & API
To be an effective CRM, the system needs to be able to transfer data into and out of the CRM securely and effectively. Highlevel has features built into the workflow to accept data from third-party systems. One of the most widely used systems for connecting separate systems securely is Zapier (www.Zapier.com). Highlevel has a built-in connector with Zapier called Lerad Connector that allows Zapier to integrate with Highlevel seamlessly.
Getting data in and out of Highlevel is simple.
GoHighlevel CRM Conclusion
There are so many choices for CRM systems for business today it can be hard to choose. Highlevel is an affordable yet robust system that any business can use.
If you are a business owner and are tired of having a CRM that does not offer you the features you need to run your business, then you should try Highlevel.
