How to set up a website in GoHighlevel?
The GoHighlevel platform has a complete website builder. The platform also allows its users to create an unlimited number of websites and also provides website hosting at no additional charges.
Once logged into your account, you must go to the Sites menu option and select the Websites tab.
Click on the New Website button at the top right, and you will be presented with these options.
You can start with a blank website or use one of the hundreds of templates in the library. I will review the Blank startup in this article, but you can check my article regarding the template library to see what templates are available.
Give your website a name, and off you go. The platform will create the website; click on the website name to open the editor. The website has no pages yet, so click the Add New Page to create your Homepage. You must give the page a name for SEO and a path. If this is your first page, leave it blank or place a “/” for that value. I will call the page Home.
Note: If you currently have a funnel with ClickFunnels you can enter the page url and direct import it into the editor without having to recreate it.
Once the page is created, you have a couple of choices. To start from a blank page or to use an existing page. If you choose an existing page, you can select any other page you have in your account to import, whether it is from a funnel or website.
We will use the “Create from Blank” option for this article.
Once you are in the website editor, there are a couple of different objects you need to deal with to understand how pages are constructed within the GoHighlevel website builder. To build a website in GoHighlevel, you must create a Section first. There are four types to choose from, and they are listed below.
Once a section is selected, indicated in the designer by a green color outline, you must create a row to occupy the section. This row can have any number of columns you wish. Here are the default options provided by the designer.
The designer will indicate the rows by a blue outline color, and a purple outline color will indicate each column selected within a row.
Once you have created the correct row and columns, you can add any website elements in the builder to begin your design. To use them you need to drag and drop the element to the area of the page you want and then use the settings of that element to fine-tune what you want to be displayed.
In the page example below I used a Headline, the sub-headline at the top. Then a video element with a bulleted list and a call to action button.
You can create as many pages as you like on your website and there is no limit to your design capability in the GoHighlevel platform.
