What is GoHighlevel Hosted Video Optin?
This new feature lets you remove the opt-in page from your lead magnet funnels and move it to a video. Once someone watches the video for a certain amount of time, an opt-in form can appear, and the consumer must fill it out to continue watching the video.
What is GoHighlevel/Highlevel?
GoHighlevel, or just Highlevel as its users call it, is an all-in-one sales and marketing platform for marketing agencies and small businesses. The GoHighlevel platform offers every tool needed to run a business successfully at a fixed monthly cost. The GoHighlevel platform allows you to Whitelabel their software so agencies can use this platform and brand it like it was their own. This allows agencies to create a Software as a Service (SaaS) business and an additional monthly recurring revenue stream.
Typically, agencies would perform a job for their client, like building a website or running Facebook ads, only to have the job end or the client cancel their service. Now, agencies have to continue to market to find another client. Now, with GoHighlevel, you can migrate your clients off whatever CRM, email marketing tool, phone system, or funnel software they may be using and run their business entirely off the GoHighlevel platform. The best thing about this is that your clients pay you monthly for these services. You can charge $297, $497, or whatever you want to charge for these services, and your client continues to pay for these each month like a utility, creating a stable recurring monthly revenue.
GoHighlevel sets no limits for its users on any paid plan so that you can have unlimited contacts, websites, funnels, email or text templates, and workflows. There are also no limits for storage, so you can host as many videos, files, documents, or images as you or your clients may have.

Configuring Hosted Video Optin in GoHighlevel
The great thing about new features released by GoHighlevel is that you can instantly implement these new features in your existing projects. Video hosting is not new to the Gohighlevel platform. It has been around for years, and new features like video tracking have been added to enhance it, but the opt-in feature is truly a game changer to how lead generation is done.
Past/Current Models
When someone wanted to do lead generation, typically, an opt-in funnel was used, and there was a landing page that described what was given away or a service to be provided if someone put the name and email address in the form and clicked submit. Once the person agreed to give that information, the product or service would be given, but not before. Well, now there is another way.
Hosted Video Optin
GoHighlevel has implemented a new feature that allows marketers to build a landing page without an opt-in form in front of it. The idea is you create a landing page with a video on it that is compelling enough for a prospect to watch. Then, at a particular time within the video, you can have a popup displayed where the prospect has to provide their information to finish watching the video.
This feature still uses the video element in the website/funnel builder but has a few more properties you can configure to allow opt-in.
Here are the standard properties you can set up on a video element. To use the new feature, you must use the Hosted Video option.
The new feature properties allow you to turn it off and on with a toggle switch control at what time during the video you want to have the popup appear to collect information, which opt-in form you want to use, and lastly, whether or not you are going to force a prospect to fill out the opt-in form or not before continuing. You can check the box for “Allow user to close the form and continue.” The prospect can close the opt-in form and continue watching the video.
Since this new feature adds properties to the existing video element, you can simply set these properties within any video element on any page you have configured already.
Just ensure you upload the MP4 video file to the media library to use the hosted video feature.
